ERASMUS+ ESC30-SOL
Our 6-month project "YOUTH FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE IN TOURISM," aimed at helping young people studying tourism in Manavgat better understand the concept of sustainability, has been successfully completed. Conducted under the European Union ESC30-SOL – Solidarity Project, this initiative aimed to encourage young people to learn and apply sustainable living and consumption practices.
Activities Conducted Within the Project
During the project, we aimed to help young people become environmentally conscious business managers in Turkey and Europe by providing various activities designed to improve their understanding of nature. These activities included:
- Planning Meetings: At the beginning of the project, we held meetings to foster group communication and teamwork.
- Outdoor Learning Activities: We organized litter collection activities on natural sites and beaches to raise environmental awareness.
- Learning Events with Coaches: We arranged sustainability information events for young people to emphasize the importance of sustainable practices.
- Camping and Nature Exploration Activities: We strengthened young people's connection with nature by organizing camping trips in natural areas.
- Visits to Sustainable Tourism Facilities: We facilitated young people's on-site observation of sustainable practices.
Dissemination of the Project
To disseminate the results of the project, we visited student clubs, NGOs, and tourism businesses. During these visits, we shared the outcomes of the project and expressed our support for organizing similar activities in other institutions.
Project Outputs
As a result of our project, we prepared two important presentation documents:
1. Sustainable Practices
2. Sustainable Community
These presentations are accessible to everyone and aim to provide young people with knowledge about sustainability and sustainable practices, enabling them to apply this knowledge in their professional lives.
We extend our gratitude to all participants and supporters of our project. We aim to contribute to the awareness of young people for a sustainable world in future projects.
